About Evanston Gardens
At Happy Haven OSHC Evanston Gardens, we are extremely child-centred and are constantly taking on children’s feedback and adapting our practices to suit the needs of those at the service. We consider a sustainability-based approach when reflecting on our practices and encourage contribution from our tight-knit community. While our service may appear to be messy and chaotic at first glance, our environment is organised chaos where children are supported to develop friendships and life skills.

Happy Haven Evanston Gardens OSHC is very proud of our service and our rating of Meeting National Quality Standards. We were assessed across all 7 quality areas and achieved Meeting National Quality Standard across all quality areas.
NQS Rating and Assessment
Happy Haven OSHC has well developed policies and procedures approved by DECD and school Governing Councils on all sites on which we operate. You may ask to see a Policy at any time, and these will be available at your service. We have included some of our policies which may be particularly relevant to you here for your convenience.
All OSHC services need to meet basic standards in order to operate. This is monitored by a national body called ACECQA, with some responsibilities delegated to a South Australian agency referred to as The Board. OSHC services must demonstrate their competency across the 7 Quality Areas of the National Quality Framework for OSHC, and have rating and assessment visits on a regular basis. You can ask educators at your service for information relating to any assessment and rating visits they have had, as well as being able to access the site’s Quality Improvement Plan.
